A mechanical engineering student of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Tobi Medal, took to a closed Facebook group, Bammy Facebook Famous Gam¡e, to brag about raping at least two girls.
He went ahead to give tips on how guys can rape girls who play hard to get for them. And when people in the group asked him to speak with sense, he insisted he knows what he’s saying and that some women deserved to be raped. He also said that this tactic of raping girls has helped him twice. See the screengrab Facebook post below:
Well, the post started trending on Twitter Nigeria with the hashtag #FutaRapist and other social media, causing an uproar in the group. One of the members of the closed group who was close to Tobi Medal, said he became remorseful after the post generated so much negative buzz on social media. It was said that he was contemplating suicide due to the way a lot of people were calling him out just to be dealt with. He deactivated his Facebook account after.
Several hours later, the 20-year-old FUTA undergraduate activated back his Facebook account and claimed he had been hacked and wasn’t the one writing about rape. See all that below:
He also went back to the closed Facebook group which was turned from ‘Closed’ to ‘Secret’ after the whole drama started trending, to write this:
